Kathmandu—In the second game of the current three-match T20 international series between Nepal and the United States, Nepal emerged victorious and won the United States in the Super Over.

After the planned 20-over match, which was equivalent to 170 runs, Nepal prevailed and advanced to the Super Over.

Specifically, Sompal Kami got the objective of just three runs in the Super Over after getting rid of two American batters. Furthermore, before the last game, Nepal had a 2-0 series lead after scoring the goal with ease in just 4 balls. Consequently, Nepal will now play in tomorrow’s championship game.

Earlier, on October 17, Nepal won the first Twenty20 encounter by a margin of 17 runs. In the second Twenty20, notably, Nepal batted first and gave the US a victory target of 171 runs.

Nepal won the United States in Super-over

The USA responded by scoring 170 runs as well; consequently, the match went to super over. Nepal lost six wickets during their 20-over allocation at the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas. Despite this, they managed to score 170 runs.

Notably, Bhurtel scored 92 runs, staying undefeated, by hitting seven fours and six sixes in just four balls. In addition, Anil Sah scored 25 runs for Nepal. Furthermore, Rohit Paudel, the captain, scored 18 runs while Gulsan Jha scored 19. Meanwhile, Jasdeep Singh and Nosthus Kenjing each claimed two wickets for the United States.

On the other hand, the USA lost 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs while chasing a goal of 171 runs. They scored 170 runs during this time. Specifically, Saiteja Mukmala scored 47 runs for America, while Andres Gaus scored 62.

As extra double scores, Sion Jahangir scored 14 runs and Milinda Kumar scored 15. Additionally, Sagar Dhakal and Dipendra Singh Airi each claimed one wicket. Lastly, Sompal Kami claimed two wickets, and Karan KC claimed three wickets.
