NEPSE increases
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) closed at 2,485.94 points on Sunday after rising 61.61 points. (NEPSE increases)
In the first twelve minutes, the market, which opened at 2,424.32 points, fell to 2,409.63 points, the day’s low. With 25 minutes remaining in trading, the index, however, began to move upward and reached the day’s high at 2,494.06 points. Before the market closed for the day, it corrected by about nine points in the remaining time.
The sensitive index, which evaluates ‘A’ class businesses’ performance, increased by a noteworthy 13.53 points as well. From Rs 15.54 billion on Thursday to Rs 15.23 billion on Friday, the daily turnover decreased.
The market values of each of the 13 groupings increased. The industries with the biggest jumps were hotels and tourism, at 259.05 points; trading, manufacturing and processing, and life insurance also saw three-digit increases.
Among specific businesses, 181 were listed as winners and 56 as losers.
The company with the highest share turnover, Soaltee Hotel Limited, brought in Rs 341.09 million. Sikles Hydropower Limited saw the largest percentage loss in its market price, while United Modi Hydropower Ltd saw the largest gain.
