Saurya Airlines plane crashed at TIA during takeoff.
At Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), a plane operated by Saurya Airlines crashed. In the meanwhile, the mishap occurred when the aircraft was taking off for Pokhara from Kathmandu. According to the investigation, there were nineteen people on board the aircraft as it traveled to Pokhara.
Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and Prime Minister KP Oli inspected the crash scene of the aircraft. In summary, they watched the incident and discovered what caused the jet crash. In addition, eighteen individuals perished in the airline catastrophe. All of the airline’s personnel have passed away. The aircraft’s captain, Manish Ratna Shakya, is receiving medical attention. Following the conclusion of the rescue operations that had stopped the airport due to the accident, Tribhuvan International Airport has reopened.
The authorities have brought the passengers’ bodies to Teaching Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Authorities have yet to identify numerous victims who have been burned. Therefore, authorities may require DNA testing for identification.
The aircraft lost control and plummeted to the ground after only a few minutes of flight. Nineteen crew members and passengers are reportedly on board. After noticing smoke pouring out of the plane, firefighters and security personnel are currently trying to control the situation. Therefore, attempts are underway to put out the aircraft’s fire.
