According to the officials, the body chopped into thirty pieces appeared in the refrigerator for some time. The body has been identified, according to Additional Commissioner of Police (West) Satish Kumar.
Bengaluru: According to the police, authorities discovered the body of a 26-year-old woman chopped into about thirty pieces and stored inside an apartment refrigerator in the Vyalikaval neighborhood of Bengaluru. Initially, the apartment’s foul scent caught the attention of the neighbours, who called the police to investigate.
Furthermore, the body parts appear to have been in the refrigerator for a while, according to the authorities. Additional Commissioner of Police (West) Satish Kumar stated that the body has been identified.
Moreover, “After a preliminary inquiry, we will provide more details. Despite her original state of residence, she has been residing in Bengaluru,” Mr. Kumar added.
In addition, the authorities have called a Forensics Science Laboratory (FSL) team, and he stated that the dog squad and the fingerprint team will secure the crime scene.
Notably, within the boundaries of the Vyalikaval police station lies a one-bedroom residence. Authorities discovered the body of the 26-year-old girl broken into pieces and stored in a refrigerator. Clearly, the incident did not happen today. Mr. Kumar stated that they have identified the girl, but they should complete the preliminary inquiry first.
When the police arrived at the flat, they found the 165-liter single-door fridge operating and discovered that maggots had infested the body, according to the news agency IANS.
The gruesome murder of 27-year-old Shraddha Walkar in Delhi in 2022 shares similarities with this case, as her boyfriend, 29-year-old Aaftab Amin Poonawala, committed the crime. Poonawala chopped the victim’s body into 35 pieces and disposed of the parts in a nearby forested area.
