In particular, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are among the musicians who have been confirmed to play at Harris’ most recent rallies.
Later today in Philadelphia, according to CBS News, Kamala Harris will be joined by various artists. Specifically, they include Lady Gaga, The Roots, Ricky Martin, and DJ Cassidy. Furthermore, the event page states that Oprah Winfrey will be speaking.
Additionally, Katy Perry will perform at a Get Out the Vote rally in Pittsburgh earlier today. Moreover, Andra Day and D-Nice will also perform at the Get Out the Vote concert in Pittsburgh today.
Gaga confirmed her support for Harris on social media last night:
Bruce Springsteen, Harrison Ford, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Samuel L. Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Joni Mitchell, Spike Lee, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Charli XCX, Cher, Eminem, Billie Eilish, and Bon Iver are among the other celebrities that have endorsed Harris.
Beyoncé attended a Democratic Rally on Reproductive Rights in Texas recently with Harris. Notably, she gave a moving speech; however, she did not sing at the event.
“I’m not here to be a politician or a celebrity. At the campaign event, she declared, “I’m here as a mother.”
“A mother who is genuinely concerned about the world in which children live. In this world, we are all free to manage our bodies. We are not separated from one another”
“Consider our daughters growing up and realizing that there are no boundaries or ceilings,” she added. “We need you, and we have to vote.”
Harris committed to restoring access to abortion nationwide.
One of the main topics of discussion in this election is, notably, Trump’s position on abortion. Additionally, he is also known for his earlier decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, the historic reproductive rights law. In contrast, Harris’ dedication to re-establishing access to abortion across the country has, consequently, earned her the support of numerous celebrities.
