It’s election day. Voters are going to the polls to choose between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. This is one of the most momentous 2024 presidential election in the country’s history.

And the forecast calls for more than just rain. Forecasters warn that snow may fall later today for voters in Colorado and Montana.
“I was just waiting for this day to come,” said the voter.
A 74-year-old Black lady named Liza Fortt appeared at her polling station in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She came in a wheelchair and was feeling ill.
Nevertheless, she went out to cast her ballot for Harris.
For me and my grandchildren, granddaughters, and nephews, it holds great significance. Fortt remarked, “I was just waiting for this day to come.”
She claimed that she never imagined having the chance to vote for a Black woman in the presidential election.
“Seeing a woman—not just any woman, but a Black woman—makes me proud,” Fortt remarked.

About an hour after polls opened, precinct 5604 in Palm Beach, Florida, saw a significant police presence on Tuesday morning.

Chief prosecutors from every state in the union signed the declaration which was made public on Tuesday. The exceptions were Indiana, Montana, and Texas. In addition, solicitors general from the U.S. territory of American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands, and U.S. Virgin Islands signed, as did the District of Columbia.
“We urge all Americans to cast their ballots, engage in polite conversation, and, most importantly, uphold the democratic process’s integrity,” they said. “We will use our power to enforce the law against any unlawful acts that threaten it; violence has no place in the democratic process.”
Nearly four years after Trump supporters rioted at the U.S. Capitol to block the election certification, there are still concerns about electoral violence. Trump praised the rioters and promised to pardon them. He included a recorded chorus of inmates serving time for their roles in the Jan 6 attack. Instead of denouncing the violence during his campaign, they sang the national anthem.
Where are Harris and Trump?
Trump concluded a late-night rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in the early hours of Election Day. Despite previously stating that he would cast his ballot early, the Republican nominee intends to spend the day in Florida. There, he is anticipated to cast his ballot in person. On Tuesday evening, he is planning to host a campaign watch party in Palm Beach.
Harris intends to go to an election night celebration at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Howard University is a historically Black institution where Harris was an active member of the sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha. She earned a degree in economics and political science there in 1986.
She doesn’t have a public schedule for Election Day, except for Howard.
Harris stated on Sunday that her mail-in ballot was “on its way to California” after she had “just filled it out.”
