The woman with the handle “xiaomayouren” on Xiaohongshu reportedly shared her experience. In June, at the StarLight Place shopping center in Chongqing, southwest China, she described an encounter that left her infuriated. (According to a Sohu news website)
The woman carried a Hermes purse as she shopped for clothes at Louis Vuitton. However, the staff were indifferent to her.
When she asked to see the new arrivals, they disregarded her request and pointed to outdated seasonal attire instead. They ignored her plea for water as well.
They even rolled their eyes and looked annoyed when she begged them to show her some clothes that would fit. The client called the headquarters of the upscale brand after the incident. She claimed she did not receive a response.
Taking matters into her own hands, the woman visited the same store with a bag of cash containing 600,000 Yuan (about ₹70 lakh) and waited two months to exact her retribution.
She tried on the clothing before deciding to buy it from the salesperson. The woman gave the shop staff a big bag of money, which she used to pay.
After the salesperson counted money for several hours, the woman left the store without making a purchase.
The woman told the sales crew, “We don’t want to buy now,” after they had been counting money for several hours. “We’re going,” she continued.
“After they finished counting it, I just took away my money and left. How is it possible for me to buy their products to improve their work performance?”On Xiaohongshu, she wrote. The woman called this episode the “most spleen-venting incident of the year,” according to the South China Morning Post.
